More Than Ethanol
Guardian Energy is one of the largest Ethanol Producers in the US. We purchase local corn to use in our processing facilities, where we produce ethanol, animal feed (DDGS), and corn oil.
Grinds 50 million bushels of corn each year
Produces 155 million gallons of corn starch based ethanol
Produces 4 million gallons of corn kernel fiber, low carbon intensity ethanol
Produces 350,00 tons of DDGS
Produces 53 million pounds of corn oil
Ethanol
Ethanol is renewable fuel made from corn. Ethanol can be blended with gasoline, creating blends such as E10, E15, and E85.
Cellulosic Ethanol
Cellulosic ethanol is a second-generation biofuel produced by converting corn fiber into ethanol. Cellulosic ethanol has a lower carbon intensity than ethanol produced from corn starch.
DDGS
Distiller's Dried Grains with Solubles (DDGS) is a valuable feed ingredient. It's what remains of a corn kernel after it is converted into ethyl alcohol. DDGS contains high levels of protein and fat, so it's great for hogs, poultry, and cattle.
Corn Oil
Distillers corn oil is a crude vegetable oil product that is created when the oil is separated from the syrup. The co-product is mainly used as a feedback for biofuel, animal nutrition, and industrial applications.
